Through a series of photographs and found imagery, “cherry” visualizes the acceptance of the many enigmatic truths and the unknown world of womanhood.

What started as a picture in a photo booth, blossomed into a need to capture the polarity of life and women.

“Possibilities for women have progressed over time. We have the option to seek more than our societal code.

As I get older, I find myself growing in this truth of being a daughter, aunt, sister, and friend, while also carrying the truth of being a creative being.

However, I also grow to understand that being a woman is more than the title I hold. It’s about how I hold it, and understanding my essence as a woman. And through this body of work, I've found that the true nature of womanhood varies.”
