Working as a photographer, assistant director, and designer, she explores themes of religion, self-discovery, grief, and the overall human experience; Karon weaves this wisdom and knowledge into her pieces, hoping others can remember that our uniqueness can still bring people together.

cherry.

cherry is a collection of collages, original photography, and video speaking to the many truths of womanhood through the perspective of a character named cherry. Drawing on experiences from real women, this project challenges how fictional worlds are built around women. This is an ongoing project.

Inspired by a line in a song, “The first commandment is to forgive your enemies,” ‘the commandent’ is a collection of digitally collaged magazine ads designed into a booklet. The booklet/zine speaks to the ideas of revenge, silence, + guidance. The back of the zine shows some playlists made during the making of this piece.

Florida.

Florida, is a part of a larger body of work exploring my family’s past. Birthday parties, cookouts, hospitial visits, family trips, all found in family photo negatives tucked away in my grandma’s ottoman.

Karon, or K, is an artist, designer, and director based in South Florida and New York.

After graduating from A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Karon continued her studies in New York City, delving into the world of art and design. The world of print, photography, and installation intertwined to create full bodies of work that include video, photo, and prints.
