The Re-Organization School is a division of New York’s renowned liberal college, The New School (TNS). The Re-Organization school consists of students and faculty fellows from TNS’s Mellon Initiative.
This school operates in a non-hierarchical manner, allowing students and faculty to work together seamlessly. On a trip to upstate New York, members held workshops on human organization, activism, and the importance of land ownership for sustainable living.
The emphasis on land ownership and sustainable living spoke to a bigger picture: “How can we mobilize without risking lives? How can we mobilize while serving our communities?”
For three days, members engaged in this open forum, building relationships, learning about urban agriculture/landscapes, and challenging the norms we currently live under.
